Q. Why should I consider booking a DJ for my wedding?
A. I'm going to break a rule here and answer a question with some additional questions. Trust me, it'll make sense-- Do you want your guests to be able to hear the ceremony and vows by using an additional sound system not provided by the venue? How important is the success of the reception to you and your fiance? Do you want classy intros (as opposed to interrupts) your guests, unobtrusive sound systems and great music & dancing for your reception? How things sound and how successful the dancing goes is especially important if you've hired a wedding videographer.
Q. What should I look for in a DJ?
A. Your wedding DJ should be someone who understands that they are not the most important person in the room, and they are part of something that is bigger than themselves. This might be the 25th wedding that they have worked this year, but for the couple, it is the first. You also have to be a person who loves people. They have to be able to look at the day as if it were their own sister's/brother's wedding and not just another paid gig. They need to be someone who is professional, passionate, reliable, and trustworthy!
Q. How does your pricing compare to other local dj's?
A. As a whole, you're going to find that my pricing is lower than most area dj's by a good amount. If you look around you'll find prices that start well over $1,000 and can range as high as $5,000! And trust me, I find that as hard to believe as you do. My price is also one that is flat-rate and all inclusive meaning that it's not subject to additional upcharges based on what you'd like included event. You can find out more about my pricing here.
Q. The party is going great and we're having a wonderful time! How much do you charge for overtime?
A. Nothing! That's a part of my pricing structure-- I'll keep the party going for as long as you'd like me to, with no additional charges.
Q. What is the deposit and when is final payment due?
I ask for a $250 non-refundable deposit to reserve the date (this is standard within the wedding industry, so don't worry too much about that) and the final payment of the remaining balance is due the day of your wedding (or earlier if that's more convenient for you!)
I'll gladly accept cash, check, or credit/debit cards.
